AIIM Ambassadors play a crucial role in promoting the association and supporting its members. They actively recruit new members and share AIIM updates and news through social media. When requested, Ambassadors represent AIIM at industry events, conferences, AIIM+ Community Conversation events, and networking functions. They serve as a resource for new members and those new to the industry, offering guidance and being available for brief calls as needed. Ambassadors share knowledge and resources with each other and AIIM, and actively participate in AIIM's Online Community by replying to posts, starting discussions, welcoming new members, and sharing Ambassador-led local events. They provide valuable feedback on AIIM initiatives and member needs.
Are you a new member or perhaps considering membership or becoming a Certified Information Professional?
If you are interested in getting in touch with one of our Ambassadors, please let us know at hello@aiim.org and we are happy to introduce you.
AIIM Ambassadors enjoy a range of benefits for their dedication and commitment to the association. They receive early access to information and knowledge about AIIM offerings, keeping them at the forefront of industry developments. Ambassadors are also invited to special events and in-person gatherings, providing exclusive networking opportunities with fellow Ambassadors.
The program allows Ambassadors to use AIIM branding for events they organize under the AIIM Ambassador program, enhancing their credibility and reach within the industry.
In recognition of their efforts, Ambassadors are featured with a spotlight profile, including their bio and headshot, on the AIIM website. At AIIM events, they are distinguished with a special ribbon or name badge, acknowledging their role and making them easily identifiable to other attendees. Ambassadors also receive digital badges and social media assets to promote their standing as an AIIM Ambassador, as well as a special Ambassador logo for use on their website and email communications. Lastly, as a token of appreciation, Ambassadors are granted discounts to select AIIM events, making it more accessible for them to attend and represent the association.
Any member in good standing may apply to be an AIIM Ambassador. Interested individual may self-nominate and apply for the program. Nominations typically open in April-May and are reviewed by AIIM staff and the AIIM Executive Committee of the Board of Directors. Nominees are evaluated using the following criteria. AIIM Ambassadors must:
Ambassadors commit to a 1-year term but may maintain their status as long as they continue to meet requirements, and they meet quarterly to share knowledge and network with fellow Ambassadors.
